Glass is a sensuous material, smooth in its sleek surface and seemingly fragile. It protects us from the elements and lets visible what we wish to see.  Upon physical force, the fragile material shatters and breaks into an ensuing network of shards  belying its fragility and becoming dangerous.My glass sculptures reflect biological processes from cellular level to the nature of matter within the cosmological realm. Glass is delicate and yet it belies this fragility when shattered into shards becoming a lethal weapon. It is this juxtaposition that inspires this series.
